The Department of Civil Engineering is one of 5 (five) departments in the Faculty of Engineering which was established at the same time as Trisakti University was born, namely on November 29, 1965, with the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Science (PTIP) Number: 13/dar/1965 1965 The Department of Civil Engineering was granted the status of "SAMAKAN" at the Baccalaureate Level in 1981 which was stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 0269/O/1981 dated September 23, 1981.
With the rapid development of knowledge and technology, as well as looking at the government's development plans and to further improve education towards professionalism, according to the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 0589/O/1983 the Department of Civil Engineering is one of the 3 (three) existing Departments. in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Number: 0507/DIKTI/Kep/1993 dated August 16, 1993 concerning the Establishment of the Master of Engineering Program at the Postgraduate Program of Trisakti University in Jakarta.
