Master's Degree in Biosystems and Lanscape Engineering
The degradation of the environment due to anthropogenic action is reaching levels that are already allowing the media to speak openly of environmental alarm. The pollutants emitted into the environment, greenhouse gas emissions, indiscriminate consumption of non-renewable energies, etc., are reaching such levels that the scientific community is suggesting that it could be irreversible. At the same time, society's awareness of environmental issues continues to grow.
The general and basic training that students receive in current bachelor's degrees, even in the case of regulated professions that continue with a qualifying master's degree, needs to be completed with specific competencies and learning outcomes so they can become specialists in the subject area of the master's degree.
Aims The degree aims to train professionals from the world of engineering and the environment who are able to analyse, diagnose, plan and manage projects from the perspective of landscape and bio-environmental engineering. Environmental engineering, as this is the field that covers the competences, skills, abilities and learning outcomes to be developed, and with the prefix bio, as it is mainly in the area of biosystems (agrifood, forestry and the natural environment) that they will be developed.
