The Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration (ECOAMM) has a duration of three years and belongs to the L18 Class of Bachelor’s Degrees in Economic Sciences and Business Administration. In order to obtain the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration, students must acquire 180 university study credits (CFUs) by passing 20 exams. In addition to the 20 exams, there is also the final exam and an IT test worth one CFU, which is necessary for the development of the skills required on the degree course.
The number of participants on the course is decided at a local level.
At the end of the course, the qualification of Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Administration, part of the L-18 Class of Degrees, is issued.
The qualification enables access to the Master’s Degree in General Business Economics, run by the University of Milano-Bicocca’s School of Economics and Statistics. The second-level course (Master’s Degree) in General Business Economics is designed to offer avenues for further study with a specific focus on disciplines relating to the management, administration and organisation of companies. The course aims to provide students with an advanced understanding and solid cultural and professional preparation which enables them to deal with the increasingly interlinked problems that companies and public organisations are facing in the current, competitive context. The course also intends to prepare candidates to operate as chartered accountants, once they have completed a traineeship and passed the state exam. Graduates in Economics and Business Administration will also be able to access first-level postgraduate programmes at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Participation in Master’s degree courses at other universities is subject to the regulations in place at those institutions.
The degree course aims to provide candidates with solid cultural and methodological preparation in disciplines of business administration: accounting, budgets, professional techniques, company audit and budgetary review, organisation, planning and management control, with a particular focus on regulations pertaining to commercial and tax law. The course is particularly suitable for students interested in working in the fields of administration, finance and control within companies or who wish to become accounting professionals, statutory auditors or - eventually - chartered accountants. The course also provides students with adequate knowledge regarding:
  • basic economic/political disciplines
  • basic and applied quantitative methods
  • legal principles and institutions, with a particular focus on commercial and tax law
  • English and another EU language (not Italian) within the specific context of economic, business and quantitative disciplines
  • IT and data processing systems applied to a business context
