The Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing has a three years duration and to complete the program students have to acquire 180 academic credits (CFU). A total number of 19 exams are scheduled providing 156 CFUs. The remaining academic credits are provided by clinical trainings, seminars, integrative activities chosen by students (i.e. stage) and the final exam, including the dissertation of an academic essay.
The 19 exams are organized as follows: 8 exams within the first, 5 exams within the second, and 6 exams within the third year of education. The number of students per year admitted to the course is determined on the base of a national Ministry planning for this Degree.
The official language of the course is Italian.
The Undergraduate Nursing Degree allows students to apply for further high education programs as Post-Graduate Diplomas (first level Diplomas according to the Italian national legislation) and/or Master Degree programs both in Milano-Bicocca and in other Universities in the Country.
The main aim of the course is to provide students those knowledge and skills that are needed to operate as general registered nurses (RN) both in public and private health institutions. The Undergraduate Nursing Degree is the needed academic title to be registered as RN by the Italian National Board of Nursing Profession.
Based on available data, students who have completed the Undergraduate Nursing Degree have a 91% occupational rate after one year from the end of the course.
