The Master of Traumatology will allow you to achieve a comprehensive and critical understanding of the pathophysiology, aetiology, outcomes and management of trauma medicine. You will expand your knowledge and skills in areas including trauma systems, post-injury critical care, torso trauma, musculoskeletal trauma and neurotrauma. You will also focus on research methodology which will provide you with the opportunity to engage in traumatology research, developing a strong foundation in the science and practice of injury management. Key areas of study include: Biostatistics, Epidemiology – Basic Methods, and Post-injury Critical Care. This online course is only available for domestic students.

Master of Traumatology (Trauma) and Master of Traumatology (Research)

(1) Registered medical practitioner. Applications from International Medical Graduates in Australia and overseas are encouraged. International Applications will be reviewed by the Program Convenor

(2) Nurses currently registered, or eligible to be registered, as Division One Registered Nurses with at least three years' experience as documented in a professional curriculum vitae demonstrating postgraduate practice in a surgical or critical care field

(3) Paramedics with at least a three year undergraduate degree or equivalent, additional postgraduate qualification and at least two years' experience as documented in a professional curriculum vitae

(4) Allied health practitioners with at least a three year undergraduate degree, additional postgraduate qualification and at least two years' experience in a critical care field as documented in a professional curriculum vitae
