Graduate Research School

Our graduate research students have access to a wide range of facilities and are mentored by our researchers and partners, creating a supportive and rewarding research environment. Our innovative Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs broaden students’ horizons and prepare them for challenging careers in their chosen fields, to enhance their employability and innovation skills. The following research training programs are available through our Graduate Research School:

• Doctor of Philosophy
• Professional doctoral degrees
• Masters by Research
• Professional research masters degrees
• Cotutelle doctoral degrees (joint PhD)
• Cotutelle and Joint PhD programs.

Our Cotutelle PhD program opens doors to Australian and international research students to conduct a PhD program across two universities:

• Joint enrolment at UniSQ and an overseas university
• Separate progress assessments
• A single thesis submitted simultaneously to both universities
• Separate examination
• Two testamurs
• Two graduation ceremonies.

All candidates must meet the entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy at UniSQ and the partner institution.
