This programme addresses core themes in strategic studies. It is firmly grounded in an historical approach to the subject, both with a view to military history as well as with a view to strategic theory as a subfield of intellectual history and political theory. As an interdisciplinary degree between International Relations and History it is also linked with the Institute for the Study of War and Strategy.
