The Bachelor is a three-year undergraduate-level study programme, at the end of which the Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree is awarded. It foresees a total teaching load of 180 ECTS, in accordance with the Swiss University and international (Bologna Process) systems. The Bachelor is a period of basic academic training that includes foundation and pre-specialization courses.

The first two semesters of the programme consist of 10 mandatory foundation courses. The third semester introduces a first choice of pre-specialization courses, divided into 4 streams:

  • Economics
  • Management
  • Finance
  • Quantitative methods

The chosen option will lead the student to a suitable planning for the remaining two years of the Bachelor programme.

The Bachelor in Economics is taught entirely in Italian.

Admission Requirements

Students who have, in another university or university of applied sciences in Switzerland or abroad, exceeded the number of failed examinations permitted by the Study Regulations, and have as a result been rejected by that university, shall not be admitted to study in the same Faculty or field of study (Admission and Matriculation Regulations, Art. 6).
