UBC’s BEd degree is globally recognized, and open to international students. The IB Educator stream is for teacher candidates with an interest in an international education that is concept-based, inquiry-driven, and student-centred. Guided by key concepts and trans-disciplinary themes, teachers create enriching, hands-on learning opportunities that promote discovery, exploration, and thinking about real-world issues. Teacher candidates who successfully complete the requirements for the International Baccalaureate stream of the BEd program are recommended to the BC Teacher Regulation Branch for a professional teaching certificate and are eligible for the Level 1 International Baccalaureate Educator credential.
