Master of Wound Care is designed to deliver advance knowledge and skills in the provision of appropriate care of patients with wounds to optimize healing. Students will gain the specialist skills necessary to enable the formulation, implementation and evaluation of management plans that are evidence based. Skills in leadership, professional communication, reflective practice and innovation in wound care will also be honed throughout this course to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. Students can choose between a coursework stream and a more research focused stream where they will undertake a practice-based research project. This course is delivered on a part-time basis only.

An Australian bachelor degree in pharmacy, podiatry, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy or equivalent.

AND

At least two years relevant clinical experience.

AND

Professional registration.

Division 1 Registered Nurses who do not have a degree but can demonstrate extensive relevant clinical experience will be considered for admission. Division 2 Nurses are not eligible for admission.

International students located in Australia wishing to study this course must hold professional registration to practice in Australia

AND

have the appropriate visa to allow part-time study. All other international students are only able to study this course in their country of residence. Students located outside Australia must also hold professional registration to practice in their country of residence.
