The Bachelor of Media Communication offers four area of specializations: journalism, media, screen or digital humanities - the emphasis is on developing students’ practical experience and work-ready skills. Throughout this course lessons will be delivered by leading industry professionals – television anchors and journalists, ward-winning writers and producers, creative directors and social media editors. Core units provide a thorough grounding in media studies together with a range of practical experiences in the Monash Media Lab. Students will conduct a final year media project or industry internship that can be taken in an approved organization in Australia or overseas.
