The Trisakti University Product Design Study Program studies science in the field of design that combines function, comfort, safety, usability, and visual appeal of a product that is part of the community's needs. Referring to the characteristics of Trisakti University, namely Urban University, the Product Design Study Program cares about the problems of urban communities in order to answer problems through the application of curriculum and learning processes that are adapted to the needs of urban communities. Product Design Education studies theory and practice in terms of art and design skills in order to have a solid foundation in work to stimulate creativity, innovation and have aesthetic sensitivity. With these basics they have the ability and orientation to run a design business, entrepreneurship and play a role in competing in the national and international arena. The Product Design curriculum provides a scientific foundation related to design, including human factors, manufacturing processes, human-centred research methodologies and design management. In addition, it is equipped with a comprehensive understanding of materials technology, global trends and sustainability through access to manufacturing, understanding of local culture and the use of local and new materials.
