The admission profile for the Orthodontics specialization is for ethical and critical dental professionals who build knowledge to diagnose, prevent, intercept and treat dental and skeletal malpositions, with a multidisciplinary vision to restore form, function and facial aesthetics to patients. ; and develop research in its area of competence for the solution of dental and maxillofacial health problems in the population.
The UTE Specialization in Orthodontics is a fourth-level postgraduate program, which provides training at the highest level of cognitive, scientific and professional skills in the different specific areas of the area, allowing graduates of the program to perform with humanism and ethics in the functions of diagnosis, prevention, treatment, of the different dental and skeletal malpositions.
Due to its teaching-assistance nature, this program lasts two and a half (2 ½ ) years in 5 academic periods and 4,545 hours between teaching activities assisted by the teacher, collaborative learning, application practices and learning experimentation, autonomous learning and postgraduate internships at the level of the Dental Clinic of the UTE; all this structured through a study plan conceived as an integrated set of subjects, practices and educational activities, grouped by criteria, objectives and guidelines that give a sense of unity, continuity and coherence.
