Master of Jurisprudence

The purpose of the educational program is to train specialist-lawyers with a strong foundation in the scientific principles of law-making and law enforcement, equipped with high professional competence and legal culture.

Upon successful completion of the educational program, students will be able to: Make decisions to create conditions for the prevention, detection, and elimination of the causes of offenses (administrative, civil, including those involving minors) and determine and apply administrative and legal measures and legal accountability; Develop and draft regulatory legal acts, gather and interpret legal information to form legal judgments with consideration for social, ethical, and scientific perspectives; Apply fundamental knowledge of the philosophy of science, modern research methods, and academic writing when conducting legal research and communicate findings to the academic and scientific community; Apply substantive and procedural law (in civil, public, and criminal law) in judicial and extrajudicial cases, conduct negotiations, draft procedural documents, and determine penalties, including alternative dispute resolution and restorative justice practices; Perform comparative analyses of the laws and legal systems of various countries, foreign legal institutions, crime prevention tools, and human rights protection mechanisms, comparing them with similar normative legal acts and institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to identify new aspects of legal concepts, doctrines, and state legal frameworks; Analyze and resolve contemporary legal issues in constitutional, civil, administrative, and criminal law under national legislation with professional competence, utilizing effective tools for legal analysis and interpretation; Utilize modern psychological and pedagogical methods, techniques, and language skills essential for the effective execution and enhancement of professional activities; Conduct legal examinations of regulatory acts to identify corruption risks and offenses, prevent and address corruption crimes, and provide qualified legal opinions and consultations in specialized areas of law; Organize and regulate organizational and institutional activities within the framework of corporate and contract law in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
