The purpose of the educational program is to train competent specialists in the field of ecology who possess high social and civic responsibility towards the environment, grounded in ecological principles, environmental awareness, and a collaborative spirit. These specialists will be capable of professionally addressing socially significant tasks in environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources at a modern scientific and practical level.
Upon successful completion of the educational program, students will be able to: Develop practical recommendations for implementing environmental protection technologies across all sectors of public production to reduce human impact on the environment; Compare ecological data from different natural-territorial complexes to justify their specific characteristics; Conduct environmental assessments for audit purposes to evaluate environmental quality; Demonstrate citizenship, ethical values, tolerance, social activity, and leadership in engaging with stakeholders in comprehensive environmental management, while understanding the socio-economic and legal responsibilities of their decisions and actions; Utilize qualitative and quantitative indicators and environmental characteristics of various objects and sectors for effective environmental protection and management; Engage in environmental education and outreach to foster ecological culture within specific population groups; Assess environmental parameters for monitoring natural and human-made ecosystems; Evaluate and analyze the quality of environmental components and human health to develop predictive models; Analyze pollution data from different natural-territorial complexes to assess their ecological and resource potential; Gather and analyze information for environmental assessments and the creation of environmental passports for natural and economic objects; Identify ecological patterns in the interaction and development of society and nature to support environmental protection efforts; Integrate applied skills from physical, chemical, mathematical, and other fundamental sciences to conduct experimental and laboratory research using modern innovative technologies.
