This program has been created in 1989 as the Master in Suburb and Town Design; under the new name the curriculum has been revised to both maintain the unique identity of the renowned original curriculum as a new urbanism-oriented program and to open it to new issues and challenges for the twenty-first century such as landscape urbanism and informal cities. The program requires the completion of 36 credits over three semesters including the summer. The program is open to applicants with an architecture degree, as well as students with landscape or planning degrees with an introductory one-month summer course.
