Pianists accepted into the programs receive intensive and personalized training that focuses on technical and musical concerns, sight reading and improvisation, orchestral reduction, score reading, building repertoire, and the establishment of a successful career. Entering will need to have significant experience in accompanying and chamber music, and possess a developed ability to read at sight. Transposition and improvisation are also desirable skills, as is - for students interested in vocal accompanying - pronunciation knowledge of Italian, French and German.
