The General Medicine (MBBS) program at Tashkent State Medical University is a comprehensive 6-year medical degree designed to train competent, highly qualified physicians who are prepared to meet modern healthcare standards. The curriculum integrates basic medical sciences, pre-clinical training, and extensive clinical practice carried out in leading university hospitals and affiliated clinics.
Students study key foundational subjects including anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical ethics. Clinical education covers internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, family medicine, and other major clinical disciplines. Training includes laboratory work, simulation-based practice, bedside teaching, and supervised patient care.
Through evidence-based learning, modern diagnostic technologies, and hands-on clinical rotations, students develop strong clinical reasoning, communication skills, and the ability to deliver patient-centered medical care. The program also emphasizes scientific research and analytical skills, enabling students to participate in academic projects, conferences, and independent research activities.
