The Bachelor of Environmental Protection and Ecology program at Tashkent State Medical University is a 4-year undergraduate degree designed to train specialists in environmental safety, ecological monitoring, sustainable natural resource management, and environmental health. The curriculum integrates fundamental natural sciences, ecology, environmental chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, environmental legislation, climate studies, and modern laboratory methods.
Students gain practical skills through laboratory work, field practice, and ecological monitoring at environmental centers, sanitary-epidemiological services, industrial enterprises, and research institutions. Training also covers environmental risk assessment, waste management, water and air quality control, and the use of modern environmental analytical technologies.
Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental agencies, ecology departments at industrial enterprises, sanitary-epidemiological institutions, environmental laboratories, research centers, NGOs, and governmental organizations responsible for environmental protection. They may also continue Master's or PhD studies in environmental sciences, sustainable development, or related fields.
