The Bachelor of Traditional Medicine program at Tashkent State Medical University is a 4-year undergraduate degree designed to train competent specialists in natural, integrative, and traditional healing systems. The program combines evidence-based biomedical sciences with traditional therapeutic methods practiced in Central Asia and other regions.
Students study anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical biology, pharmacognosy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, manual therapy, traditional diagnostics, and preventive care. A strong emphasis is placed on the safe use of medicinal plants, natural remedies, lifestyle medicine, and holistic health approaches.
Clinical training is conducted in university-affiliated hospitals, traditional medicine centers, and practical skills laboratories, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation based on traditional and complementary practices.
Graduates are prepared for careers in traditional medicine clinics, rehabilitation centers, preventive health institutions, wellness centers, sanatoriums, and pharmaceutical/herbal product industries. They may also continue their education at the Master's and PhD levels in related medical and biological fields.
