The Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS) program at Tashkent State Medical University is a 5-year professional degree aimed at training highly skilled dental surgeons and oral health specialists. The curriculum integrates fundamental biomedical sciences, anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, and clinical dental sciences.
Students receive extensive hands-on training in university-affiliated dental clinics, simulation laboratories, and modern dental treatment centers. Clinical training includes restorative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, periodontology, radiology, and emergency dental care.
Upon graduation, students are qualified to work as general dental practitioners in public and private dental clinics, hospitals, dental laboratories, and oral health institutions. Graduates may also pursue Master’s and PhD programs in dental surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontology, maxillofacial surgery, and related specialties.
