The three-year degree programme alternates theoretical studies with clinical internships, integrated by other activities as laid down in the study plan. Attendance is mandatory. The curriculum includes basic preparatory studies facilitating the learning of core subjects. At the end of the three-year programme, Nursing graduates will have acquired the knowledge and technical, relational and educational skills to exercise the profession. The specific outcomes aim to develop:- complex cognitive skills (critical thought, problem solving, decision making, clinical reasoning, etc.);- competencies in inter- and intra-professional working teams, with particular orientation to multidisciplinary synergies and cooperation;- the ability to manage care relations with patients and families in various assistance settings;- the ability to developing educational pathways;- self-assessment techniques;- a cultural approach based on long life learning, starting from a solid educational grounding;- ethical sensitivity and an approach based on the values laid down in the Nursing Code of Conduct;- organisational skills ensuring the active participation and integration in the various organisational models operating in healthcare contexts;- an approach to evidence based practice and the use of research results. At the end of the programme, students are also able to communicate orally and in writing, according to the context and the interlocutors, in the English language (level B1).

Admission to the degree programme is subject to the possession of a five-year secondary school diploma or equivalent suitable qualification obtained abroad, or a four-year secondary school diploma and diploma for the relative supplementary year, or, where no longer active, admitted students will be assigned additional learning requirements.
