The program B.A. (H) French under ASFLK are designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the French Language, Culture, Literature and to offer them a well-rounded academic experience that fosters language proficiency, critical thinking and cultural awareness. The B.A. (H) programs in French and German at AUK are three years UG degree programs (till the academic year 2022 –23) are designed to equipe students with the linguistics skills, cultural knowledge and intercultural competence i.e. necessary for success in today’s globalized world. These programs are open to both beginners and advanced learners.
The curriculum for both B.A. (H) French and German is carefully designed to ensure a balance between language proficiency, cultural understanding, and academic rigor. The program comprises a variety of courses including language courses / cultural and literary studies / linguistics / electives / projects. The students of B.A. (H) French and German program receive a well-rounded exposure to their target languages and culture through various means like language immersion / cultural events / study abroad opportunities. We provide a comprehensive and immersive educational experience that equips students with the linguistics, cultural and critical thinking skills needed to excel in a globalized world. Our well-rounded curriculum and exposure opportunities ensure that our graduates are well prepared for diverse career paths in academia, international business, diplomacy and more. PO1: To focus on developing foundational language skills such as greetings, introductions & simple conversational expressions along with phonetic & pronunciation.
PO2: To expand the knowledge of vocabulary, grammar & speaking skills along with writing & listening.
PO3: To cover more complex grammar concepts, reading comprehension & cultural topics related to Francophone countries.
PO4: To delve into more complex grammatical structure, literary analysis & academic writing in French.
PO5: To provide more focus on topics such as translation, business language or specific cultural aspects of France & French speaking countries.
PO6: To acquire the knowledge of linguistics as per desired level.
PO7: To acquire foreign business language skills so that it could be used whenever needed.
PO8: To develop behavioural science & skills.
PO9: To develop knowledge on environmental science.
PO10: To provide Research specific program to understand the curriculum & requirement.
PO11: To be able to understand the native culture through the learning process.
PO 12: To be able to develop the professional ethics which would help in their carrier.
