International and Cross-Strait Affairs
Educational Objectives:
- To integrate theory with practice to deepen students’ knowledge of international and cross-strait affairs.
- To combine globalization and regional integration thinking to broaden students’ perspectives on international and cross-strait affairs.
- To cultivate talents who are familiar with international and cross-strait affairs and who are concerned about global public issues.
- Ability to analyze global affairs and cross-strait relations.
- Ability to conduct regional issue research and policy analysis.
- International relations research and crisis management capabilities.

Based on the theory of international relations and cross-strait affairs research, it aims to expand students' horizons on international and cross-strait affairs, combine globalization and regional integration thinking, and encourage students to have a professional interest in globalization and international political and economic trends.
Public Policy and Administration

- To combine localization and cross-domain governance thinking to expand students’ perspectives on local public affairs.
- To cultivate talents in policy planning and administrative management.
Core Competencies:
- Public issue research and policy analysis capabilities.
- Public affairs governance and crisis management capabilities.
- Ability to analyze local development and policy issues.
The curriculum planning is closely linked to the above educational objectives and core competencies. With public policy and administrative management as the professional foundation, it is hoped that students will be able to expand their horizons in local public affairs, combine localization and cross-domain governance thinking, and encourage students to have an in-depth research interest in public policy issues in the country or Yilan as the subject of their thesis writing.
