The Master of Science in Records and Information Management programme, therefore, focuses on providing specialist knowledge and skills in the documentation specialisation. With the most up-to-date programme structure, teaching methods and academic/research activities, the programme prepares graduates of MSc in Records and Information Management to take multi-skilled leadership roles with the ability to efficiently manage document or information departments and related activities in public and private institutions. A bachelor’s degree in one of the following specialisations: Records and Archives Management, or Library and Information Science.
2. Candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree in Legal and Administrative Sciences, Information Technology and other disciplines are also eligible if they have at least two years of professional experience in the field of Documents and Archives and provide formal evidence of that.
3. The candidate must have a minimum Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent GPA in any of these bachelor’s degrees listed above.
4. Proficiency in the English language is equivalent to at least IELTS 3.0 or its equivalent. The level of English language proficiency is checked by one of the following criteria:
a. The candidate’s bachelor’s degree is in a program having English as the language of instruction.
b. The candidate is exempted from studying some or all of the specialized English language courses:
i. If the candidate submits evidence of passing the English Language Placement Test (IELTS) or its equivalent
ii. Or if the candidate passes the Placement Test at Middle East College
