Friday 19 April 2024, 1 pm - 3:30 pm

On this day you will take a tour of our campus, taste the atmosphere and hear what it is like to study at Radboud University. You will not receive any information about the specific programmes on this day.

Register

In this Master’s Computing Science programme at Radboud University, you can study the design and analysis of software, machine learning and big data, cyber security, or the logic and mathematics behind computation. You can also study the interplay between these areas. In the Computing Science Master's programme, you can choose one of six specialisations:

Cyber Security

Our society relies on ICT to an ever-larger degree, making cyber security a topic of growing importance. Over the last decade, Radboud University has made an international name for itself in this field. At this Master’s specialisation in Cyber Security at Radboud University you will learn how to assess the security of existing ICT solutions, and how to develop secure solutions for the future.

Data Science

Data plays a role in almost every scientific discipline, business, industry, or social organisation. Medical scientists sequence human genomes, astronomers generate terabytes of data and the police employ data models that predict crimes. In this Master's specialisation in Data Science at Radboud University you’ll learn how you can turn data into knowledge and solutions with the help of computers.

Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science

The Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science Master's programme at Radboud University has a unique theoretical and abstract focus that unites mathematics and computer science. As a student you can focus on modeling the foundations of computer programmes to using computers to solve mathematical problems.

Science in Society

Science and technology have a profound influence on society, but the reverse is also true: society significantly shapes the ways in which science and technology evolve. However, experience shows that scientists on the one hand and the general public, government and businesses on the other aren’t always able to clearly understand one another. That is why experts with a background in science and an understanding of social processes are indispensable. This specialisation will equip you with the knowledge, tools and skills to be a professional intermediary between science and society whilst getting a broader societal perspective.

Science, Management and Innovation

In Science, Management and Innovation (SMI) you will gain expertise in societal challenges, work on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and learn the ability to speak the language of policy and business.

Software Science

Software plays a role in almost every aspect of our daily lives and in every organisation anywhere in the world. It can often be a crucial key to their success. Therefore, producing software is not merely a technological enterprise but a deeply scientific and creative one as well. This specialisation goes far beyond basic code writing. It’s about analysing and testing code in order to improve it as well as simplify it.
