This Human Geography programme from Radboud University addresses the relationship between human activities and their spatial environment in a number of topical fields. It takes a critical, emancipatory approach to the field by engaging with the less privileged in society, whilst also trying to contribute to positive change and development in many different fields. Human Geography – Conflicts, Territories and Identities  

This specialisation is socio-geographical, addressing issues such as the influence of territorial belonging, geopolitical framing and social construction of others, threats and conflicts, including violent symbolism. Human Geography - Economic Geography At the Human Geography - Economic Geography programme at Radboud University you study globalisation, spatial inequality, innovation and the future of the capitalist system. You will learn to understand mainstream and more alternative economic perspectives, to provide answers to the question why place matters so much in economic development, and how economic strengths of places can be encouraged.

Human Geography - Europe - Borders, Identity and Governance

This Human Geography - Europe - Borders, Identity and Governance programme at Radboud University teaches you the value and workings of the EU within the social and geopolitical developments both in the EU and in Europe’s relation to rest of the world. This specialisation is multidisciplinary and includes fields like European Studies, Political Science, Conflict Management and Spatial Planning.
