The Acting and Screen Performance degree combines practical workshops and theory to explore drama, theatre, and screen history as well as theatre production. This degree creates skilled actors with the ability to work across all performance mediums, specialising in TV and film. On this degree, students will explore theatre production disciplines such as directing and theatre making. There is a combination of acting workshops and studio-based theory included in this degree. Assessment methods include presentations, productions, coursework or take-away papers – there are no formal exams. During the first two years, students will be taught fundamental principles of acting, as well as being introduced to other areas of the industry such as writing and directing. On the final year, students may undertake a film project, writing and performing in a radio play or producing a showreel.
