Our popular Acting and Theatre Arts degree blends traditional academic study with practical drama-school training. Perfect if you’re hoping to work in the theatre industry, workshop-based actor-training forms the foundation of this course, though you’ll also explore areas of theory and practice such as directing and playwriting. Experienced actors and directors make up our team of lecturers, each specialising in specific areas of interest including: acting techniques, contemporary British theatre, psychophysical acting and even pantomime. We have excellent production facilities on-campus, and offer theatre visits to London, Stratford-upon-Avon and New York. Our strong links with local theatres and arts organisations give a variety of options to students choosing to take part in an industry placement. education and the performing arts. Many of our graduates work as actors, stage managers, lighting designers, directors, technicians, youth theatre leaders, production managers and teachers.
