The MSc in Human Resource Management is a conversion programme designed for graduates from all academic disciplines who want to build a career in people management and organisational development. No previous academic background or professional experience in human resources is required.
The programme combines research-led teaching with practical, hands-on learning, equipping students to manage people and lead effectively in dynamic organisations. Students develop a strong foundation across human resource management, organisational behaviour, employment relations, organisational culture and employee engagement, while exploring emerging issues such as artificial intelligence and the changing workplace.
Delivered by academic experts and experienced industry practitioners, the programme connects evidence-based theory with real-world application. Students work directly with leading organisations in Dublin and apply their learning to organisational challenges through practical coursework, collaborative projects and a research dissertation.
Students also benefit from Trinity Business School’s AI XR Innovation Hub, where realistic AI-driven simulations allow them to practise skills such as managing difficult conversations, motivating teams, preparing for interviews and making decisions under pressure.
The programme is the only MSc in Human Resource Management in Ireland fully recognised by the three largest global HR professional bodies. It is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development at Level 7, approved by the HR Certification Institute and aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management’s global HR curriculum.

Admission Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English and were not educated in the language will also need to complete an English competency exam (in line with Trinity's postgraduate English language requirements).
