The MSc in Law and Finance is a full-time, 12-month interdisciplinary programme designed for graduates with a background in business, economics or law. It combines foundational and advanced study across both disciplines, enabling students to understand how legal frameworks and financial systems interact in a rapidly changing global environment.
Students develop expertise in areas including corporate and company law, financial regulation, EU law, governance, ethics, sustainability and financial innovation. The programme strengthens their ability to interpret complex legal and financial concepts, analyse their implications and apply this knowledge to real business challenges.
The curriculum combines five core modules with a broad selection of electives, allowing students to shape the programme around their interests and career ambitions. Students also complete a substantial research project supervised by either Trinity Business School or the School of Law.
Practical learning is supported by access to Bloomberg terminals in Trinity Business School’s state-of-the-art trading room and trading simulations that replicate real market conditions. Graduates are prepared for careers in financial services, consulting and legal services, including roles in risk and compliance, audit, corporate governance and law.
