This is a research-focused course that expresses and advances our knowledge of built and occupied space by direct 1:1 scale making. This course is project based, supplemented by workshops, lectures and independent study. You are encouraged to outline individual thematic investigations which can be facilitated within a year-long framework of prototyping, experimenting, re-designing and crafting. This provides a performative basis for the assessment of design ambition, ability and research achievement. All of our students disseminate and present their final project work in public exhibitions, publications and conferences.
