The BA (Hons) Product and Furniture Design course explores designing and making the objects that surround us and shape the experience of our everyday lives. It seeks to capture insight into human nature and need, by producing objects that change expectation, offer deeper meaning and lift our sense of general wellbeing. Situated within a unique community of crafts and design, it is a hands-on course with proximity to exceptional making facilities including glass, ceramics, metalwork, woodwork, textiles and digital.You will discover the importance of the relationship between product and furniture and the spaces they occupy, working alongside our interior design cohort. The course will encourage you to become an intelligent problem-solver, with a curious outlook and a bold approach to how design can serve society both today and in the future. You will fully engage with the global environmental and responsible design agendas.
