The aim of the BSc in public health program is to provide students with solid knowledge of the discipline, so that they understand the basic concepts of public health and are able to suggest solutions to public health challenges. The duration of the internship is at least 10 weeks. The degree will open up a range of career opportunities in the following fields: health services, research, surveillance, health promotion and/or environmental health among other areas; public health and related agencies such as cancer registries, food safety authorities, disease screening programs, community development, international aid agencies, the private sector with the pharmaceutical industry and management consultancies. The University conducts its programs according to the European Qualifications Framework of the Bologna Process. Thus diplomas attained at the University of Debrecen are generally accepted in the countries of the European Union. Moreover, all our programs are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board which is part of the European Accreditation Board.
