Our times are characterized by a multitude of technologies potentially useful to companies, technologies that, however, must be transformed, combined, and shaped to meet the competitive development needs of those companies themselves.
The courses cover the areas of technology, organization, economics, and communication : over the past six editions, a vast and proven set of study and exercise materials has been developed to provide broad-spectrum training on key topics in ICT Management. The professional and academic experience of renowned experts and innovative and effective teaching methodologies have been leveraged.
In this edition, the multidisciplinary approach, which has been a distinguishing feature of the ICT Master's program since the first edition, is strengthened with practical experiences and materials derived from service science, a field that aims to integrate into a coherent whole the ideas and methods from multiple disciplines, such as computer science , cognitive science, economics, organizational methods, marketing, operations research, and others. The integration achieved through our approach is a source of ongoing evolution for the Master's in ICT Management: designed by industry experts at the University of Milan-Bicocca, it is continuously enhanced with best practices, enriching the already extensive curriculum offered by this initiative. This transformation requires a capacity for multidisciplinary interaction within and outside companies and involves people with diverse roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
PROGRAM OF STUDY
In companies, we are witnessing the fragmentation of knowledge and its duality, which is expressed in business-oriented roles and technology-oriented roles. The Master's in ICT Management was designed for people who hold managerial roles in companies; IT experts (designers, analysts, testers, IT system administrators and managers, etc.) or management experts (marketing, sales, finance, logistics, etc.) who need to enhance their daily experiences by updating them to acquire the skills necessary to evaluate and manage all aspects of strategic projects involving ICT technologies. This involves updating both roles in their " core competencies " and, at the same time, transferring the knowledge and new methods they need to gain a comprehensive view of their business.
During the five two-month periods that make up the Master's program, candidates can choose from 25 courses available in the four thematic areas of study: technology, organization, economics, and communication.
In addition to the common training elements, each candidate is encouraged to create a personalized path. Depending on the candidate's initial skills, the coordinating committee supports them in selecting courses that will effectively strengthen and complement their preparation. The final part of the program is dedicated to an internship, which can be undertaken at universities and companies in Italy or abroad. This allows participants to consolidate the skills acquired during the program, putting them into practice in a work environment and cultivating meaningful professional relationships. In addition to the possibility of internships at new companies, the Master's program also offers students the opportunity to carry out this activity within their own company, using working project methods: a concrete opportunity to grow in the everyday environment, contributing to its improvement.
