Position yourself at the leading edge of humanity’s exploration of what it means to be alive, and the creation of artificial intelligence. Beginning with the same foundation as our Computer Science MComp, the degree gives you a grounding in the fundamentals, before encouraging you to specialise in speech recognition, language processing or robotics. Develop AI applications in a team project for an external client in your second year, in your third year specialist modules which cover subjects such as speech and text processing, machine learning and bio-inspired robotics give you scope for creative and intellectual exploration. In your final year you'll continue with this specialised AI theme, you'll get the chance to work alongside our research staff as part of a group research project. And you’ll have the option to participate in Genesys Solutions – our student-led software development organisation – throughout your final year, solving customer’s problems, using agile software engineering and lean startup practice. You'll not only graduate with technical skills of a computer scientist, but also a solid team player, effective communicator and system designer.
