The course in Medical Radiology Techniques for Imaging and Radiotherapy of the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Neurosciences of our University has historical roots in the radiological reality of Siena, at the forefront since the 1930s.
In 1970, the Regional Course for special purposes for the training of Medical Radiology Healthcare Technicians was established at Santa Maria della Scala. The course has become part of the university training offer since 1996 (university diploma) and since 2001 as a 1st level and specialist three-year degree course (2005-2011).
Location: Santa Maria alle Scotte University Hospital. Classes of 12-15 students engaged in lessons and laboratories. Internship in the various radiological sectors (X-ray, CT, MRI, angiography, etc.), in Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine. Advanced technological equipment is present in all sectors.
