This Master of Medical Education course is aimed at academic staff looking to develop their career in medical education. On this course, students will explore the fundamentals of teaching and learning, and examine the range of assessments used in medicine, including work-based assessment of competence, the assessment of professionalism and the assessment of knowledge. This course covers managing student success, retention, attainment and exploring issues such as fitness to practise, and examine a range of educational research methods, including those related to the assessment of the psychometric properties of assessments.
