The UTS Master of Property Development and Project Management is designed to enhance knowledge and opportunities for professionals in property and project management, and to enable graduates in related fields to extend their qualifications and expertise to embark on careers in property development and project management.

The course provides a mix of foundational and advanced knowledge in both disciplines. Students develop an appreciation of the ways the two fields work together as they gain knowledge and experience in applying concepts in both disciplines. Examples include learning how to balance private and public interests in urban development, how to assess development feasibility, and how to apply the principles of project management.

Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.

Applicants must have one of the following:

- a UTS Graduate Diploma in Property Development; OR

- a UTS Graduate Certificate in Project Management; OR

- a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or equivalent, or higher qualification from one of the following disciplines: architecture and building, engineering, management and commerce, law, economics and econometrics along with:

  • a CV clearly articulating project management experience; AND
  • an employer's letter confirming the dates of employment, and the position held; AND
  • a personal statement (max. 300 words) explaining the reasons for wanting to study project management and demonstrating an understanding of basic project management concepts gained from work experience and knowledge of course expectations.
