For those who have a passion for visual arts, drawing and storytelling, the Bachelor of Creative Production in Animation is the fastest route to creating animated work supported by powerful ideas that will speak to a global audience.


Located in the heart of the Sydney’s creative industries precinct, UTS is a place where the technology economy meets a vibrant arts and cultural scene. Collaborating on a range of productions, UTS Animation students learn how to develop their ideas through multiple stages, whilst focusing on character, development, narrative structure and performance. In our studio-based classes you will work with your peers in a professional and collaborative atmosphere as you learn the 2D, 3D and hybrid animation skills that are necessary to bring your ideas to life. As a student you will have the opportunity to work with industry partners, such as ABC Podcasts, VIVID, and the Australia Piano Quartet. UTS Animation also has long-standing relationships with Sydney's local studios such as Flying Bark Productions, Mighty Nice, Cheeky Little Media and Dave Enterprises.


UTS student productions have screened at prestigious festivals in Australia and overseas. Graduates from UTS Animation become image-makers, critical thinkers and storytellers in equal measure, creating original content for film, TV, advertising and other screen-based media that engages audiences around the globe. This course is accredited by CILECT, the international association of the world’s major film and television schools.


Graduates from the Bachelor of Animation Production are image-makers, critical thinkers and storytellers in equal measure and we help equip them to become leaders in this industry. Students learn to develop, pitch and defend ideas, and ultimately create original content for film, TV, advertising and other screen-based media that will engage global audiences.
