The French program prepares students to use the French language in all types of communication. It enables them to understand as fully as possible French cultures, literatures, and events around the world and to explore the contributions French language users have made and continue to make to human culture, the environment, and the economy.

Through experiential learning in language classes, as well as in more advanced courses in literature, culture, linguistics, localization, and translation, our program trains our students to be multilingual and intercultural. In addition to linguistic and cultural competence, students gain valuable skills in critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. A 120-hour curriculum leads to a Bachelor of Arts in French global studies.
