Thank you for your interest in the undergraduate program in the UTA Department of Mathematics! We offer programs leading to either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics. The B.S. degree may also be acquired with concentration in of one of these options: actuarial science, applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, or secondary teaching certification through the UTeach Arlington program.
The B.S. in Mathematics with the Pure Mathematics option is intended for students who want to study the basic concepts and structures underlying mathematics. Its purpose is to search for a deeper understanding and an expanded knowledge of mathematics itself.
