WVU offers an innovative bachelor’s degree designed for adult students. The Regents B.A. degree differs from other baccalaureate degrees in many respects. Our mission is to provide adult learners with a degree designed to meet the rigors of a traditional bachelor’s degree, while allowing for flexibility to conform to the need of this population. Our program will align focused student outcomes with past life experiences, past educational experiences, and current course work, providing a direct path to timely graduation. The RBA degree is an innovative baccalaureate designed to be a foundational bachelor’s degree for adult students. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive general education that provides individualized skills and learning outcomes. It differs from other bachelor’s degrees in that RBA students may earn “College-Equivalent Credit” for skills and knowledge gained though life experiences, which can be equated to college courses. The University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1926, and individual programs hold dozens of specialized accreditations.

U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 America’s Best Graduate Schools included 19 WVU programs, with Petroleum Engineering at #12 and Pharmacy at #36. WVU is one the magazine’s Top 100 Public Universities, and the online Software Engineering graduate program is ranked #10. Bloomburg Business ranked WVU’s College of Business and Economics as the ninth-best for return on investment, and our Statler College of Engineering is ranked the 24th best value for an undergraduate program
