The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program provides an engineering science-intensive approach to increase students’ understanding and problem-solving abilities. Offering concentrations to tailor your field of study, the MS in Electrical Engineering is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training, experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest, and managing projects. High-technology industries are an important sector of the economy, and an MS in Electrical Engineering will prepare you to meet industry demands in expertise, time management, and ethical practices. Concentrations in mechatronics, electrical, and computer engineering will allow you to specialize in an area of industry that suits your interests. Not only will you learn the advanced techniques and skills electrical engineers require, you will also learn to become an innovator and problem solver of the global issues impacting our society. To satisfy requirements for an advanced degree in electrical engineering, you will take four core courses in Engineering Management or Project Management, Design of Experiments, System Integration, and Advanced Electrical Engineering Analysis. At the completion of these 12 credits, you will then choose an academic advisor and course of study for the remainder of your education. Your choices include an all-course option; a project option, which includes advanced coursework and a final presented project; and a thesis option that involved advanced coursework and a thesis with presentation.
