The general objective of the Political Science major is to equip students with the analytical tools necessary to understand political processes at work within their own and other societies as well as among states in the global community. The major program offers a wide variety of courses in the areas of American government, comparative politics, international relations, and political thought. Political Science majors benefit from an active internship program that places eligible students in business and industry as well as local, state, and federal government. Career Opportunities Graduates of the program attend law school as well as graduate programs in political science, public administration, and business. Applicants must have the official secondary school transcript(s). Other English Language Requirements: STEPEIKEN: Pre-1 or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) score of 53. Students can also submit proof of completion of Level 112 at an ELS Language Center, completion of the level 7 at the International Language Institute in Northampton, MA, or completion of level 6 at Embassy CES. SAT I or ACT scores can be substituted for any of these scores as well.
