Admission Requirements

The Doctorate in Design is aimed at "graduates of undergraduate university programs in Design, Architecture, or related disciplines, of four or more years in duration, approved by recognized Argentine or foreign universities" (Academic Regulations Art. 19). According to CSU Resolution No. 38/12: "Specific prior study requirements may be established, which will be indicated together with the Doctorate in Design Curriculum."

For this first stage, the Postgraduate Committee requires that applicants hold a Master's degree, which can be presented as equivalent to the elective courses in the Doctorate in Design Curriculum. If an applicant does not hold a Master's degree, it can be obtained by completing the Master's in Design Management offered by the University of Palermo since 2002.

During the Doctorate admissions process, each applicant develops their doctoral plan and course modality. In this process, depending on the applicant's postgraduate degree, the Doctoral Committee may recommend supplementary disciplinary and/or methodological courses. These courses are incorporated into the Doctoral Program and do not entail any additional costs for the doctoral candidate.
