The Doctor of Law will be a professional who:
- Integrate legal knowledge that can be understood from new perspectives and that serves as the basis for research activity.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the law by developing a comprehensive understanding of the researched topic.
- Be able to develop a normative corpus with original legal options on the topic chosen as your doctoral thesis.
- Acquire the methodological understanding that will allow you to plan and collaborate efficiently in research teams within the discipline or in interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate recognized scientific work through research projects with resonance and impact in the field, which manages to influence the production of knowledge in the branch of law.
The Doctoral Program in Law brings together a community of teachers and students from different countries and is built on the successful experience of the Master's Program in Law at the University of Palermo, which has been operating since 1995.
