Selecting the right scholarship can be a daunting process. With countless options available, students often find themselves overwhelmed and confused. The decision can be especially stressful for those facing financial constraints or pursuing specific academic or career goals.
To help students navigate this challenging process, we recommend the following articles:
The M.Sc. in NAME is research-oriented, requiring a significant thesis based on original investigation, whereas the M.Engg. in NAME is more professionally focused, often involving more coursework and a practice-based project instead of a full thesis.
Students gain advanced proficiency in industry-standard software through specialized certification courses, including MAXSURF for ship design, Rhino3D and SolidWorks for computer-aided design, and simulation platforms like ANSYS and STAR CCM+.
The department serves as a major engineering consultant for national bodies like the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and BIWTA, involving projects such as the feasibility study for high-speed boats and the procurement of large dredger fleets.
Yes, the department frequently hosts Industrial Advisory Panel (IAP) meetings and annual seminars/webinars that bring together leading global researchers and industry specialists for technical dialogue and collaboration.
Alumni hold prominent positions in the Bangladesh Navy, Army, and Air Force, lead shipbuilding firms, and contribute to international classification societies like Bureau Veritas (BV) and RINA, as well as teaching in renowned academic institutions.
