The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has been offering postgraduate education with a strong emphasis on advanced research, innovation, and academic excellence. The MSc program was launched in 2014, followed by the introduction of the PhD program in 2016, reflecting the department’s commitment to developing high-level expertise and research capacity in computing and information technology.
To date, the department has produced a total of 53 postgraduate graduates, including 17 Master of Engineering (MEngg) and 36 Master of Science (MSc) degree holders. These programs are designed to equip graduates with strong theoretical foundations, advanced technical skills, and research competence, enabling them to contribute effectively to academia, industry, and national technological development.

Admission Requirements
1) A candidate must have a minimum GPA of 4.00 out of 5.00 or a first division or equivalent in S.S.C. and H.S.C. or in equivalent examinations.
2) A candidate must have at least 55% marks or a minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or its equivalent in B.Sc.Engg.
