The JD/MA dual-degree program is an opportunity to continue pursuing an academic passion from your undergraduate years as you pursue a legal career path. The graduate program in History offers highly personalized guidance and instruction in close cooperation with an excellent faculty. Candidates are encouraged to pursue special research interests while also studying broad historical fields. The most common fields are Early America, Modern America, African-American, Colonial and Modern Latin America, Military, Early Modern Europe, Modern Europe, British and British Empire, Imperial and Soviet Russia, South Asia, and Islamic World; but we also train students in Medieval Europe, Traditional and Modern China, Modern Japan, Africa, and Medicine, Science and Technology.
